ABOUT PHILIPE

Ever since 8th grade, I have been working with a camera and creating original content. There is something immensely gratifying about bringing a vision to life and putting a story together.

Like most teenagers, I had no idea what I wanted to do when it came to a future career. I had my strengths, but I had so many interests that I was unsure how it could translate it into a career. My parents always taught me the value of hard work, how to save your money and the value of traveling, so before applying up for university, I took the money I had stored from working throughout high school and began a journey that would ultimately lead me to four continents in 10 months at the age of 18. Once I returned, I knew I would work in the creative arts and/or history.

At UCSB, I majored in both film and history. This led me to Hollywood to work in documentary filmmaking. I worked as a story editor, development executive, production coordinator and associate production - serving as the perfect training ground to start my own company. After a brief stop in Silicon Valley, I adapted what I learned to create Mirar Productions which flourished into Mirar Media Group. To me, it checks all the boxes: meaningful storytelling, the ability to get to know new people, travel and learn new things, plus control my art. All while allowing me the perfect personal-work balance because #raisinggirls is so important (being a ‘girl dad’ and great husband means everything).

All of this comes together to form three key words that our company stands for: MAKE IT MATTER.

ABOUT VICTORIA

Ever since I could remember, I've been drawn to beauty and aesthetics - basically anything appealing to the senses. Whether it's being inside an alluring space, listening to a good track, eating/drinking something delicious, and even the scenery at the end of a good hike - I get allll the feels! I love and appreciate the way certain colors, textures, and shapes come together to create something beautiful, no matter the setting.

I attended to Columbia College Chicago for graphic design, but ended up with my BA in Marketing and minor in Art History. I ultimately made my way back to graphic design along with web design, and now do both for Mirar!

When I have some extra time, I love to try out new recipes (particularly breads and sweets), read mystery novels, lift heavy things, check out new restaurants, and go on long nature walks with my Pitsky pup, Indy and my husband Daniel.

ABOUT DAVID

As filmmakers, we have the responsibility to tell someones story. Whether we’re filming a wedding or a documentary, we are tasked with making sure the viewer sees just how epic that person’s story is.

When I was younger, I found myself constantly drawing, painting, or participating in other creative activities. In high school I got the opportunity to take a video class; that is when I discovered filmmaking was for me. Being a filmmaker has taken me to some pretty amazing places; from halfway across the world, to a neighborhood restaurant. I’ve also had the privilege of meeting many wonderful people along the way. I’ve been invited into people’s homes that I barely knew, and felt like family by the time I left. I’ve gotten to stay at some very unique hotels and some incredible AirB&b’s as well. I’ve had the honor of filming some pretty remarkable people, as well as people that are on their way to do remarkable things. In the four short years that I’ve been a filmmaker, I feel like I already have a lifetime of stories to tell. My journey isn’t over, and I can’t wait what for what the future has to offer.

ABOUT GABE

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of helping many companies grow and achieve their goals through my skills in project management and account management. I've successfully delivered multiple projects, leading to significant year-over-year revenue growth and I'm skilled at identifying and utilizing new technologies to drive innovation and increase efficiency. I'm able to spot market trends and use them to develop and launch successful new services. I'm a strong leader and motivator, which is crucial in professional services roles, and I've had the opportunity to work and live abroad, gaining valuable cross-cultural experience and broadening my perspective.

In addition to my professional achievements, I am also proud of my personal life achievements. I have a loving spouse and children who are the most important people in my life and I've had the chance to gain a unique perspective through living and working abroad. These experiences have helped shape me into the well-rounded and experienced individual that I am today.

 

ABOUT AUSTIN

As a Paid Media Analyst, I am responsible for creating and implementing effective paid acquisition strategies for our clients across various search engine marketing and social media advertising platforms. I have a strong ability to understand and support initiatives that will contribute to the success of our clients’ first ad campaigns. In my role, I manage and perform daily account responsibilities on platforms such as Google Ads, Bing, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other search/social platforms for a diverse group of clients. I am diligent in maintaining and monitoring key metrics such as keyword bids, budget caps, impression share, and quality score to ensure that our clients' campaigns are as successful as possible. In my previous roles, I have gained valuable experience in the field and am excited to bring my skills and expertise to the Paid Media department.

ABOUT LUIS

As a photographer, I am passionate about capturing beautiful images that tell a story and evoke emotion. My creativity and technical skills with photographic equipment and photo manipulation software allow me to create truly memorable images. I have had the opportunity to travel and work on a variety of projects, including product shoots, which has given me valuable experience and helped me to broaden my perspective. I understand the importance of good communication with my clients to ensure that I meet their expectations and deadlines, and I am always happy to offer creative ideas and solutions to achieve the desired results. In addition to setting up backdrops, lighting, and equipment for photo shoots and directing models and subjects to get the perfect shot, I also have a keen eye for detail and spend time carefully editing my photos to remove blemishes and correct any lighting issues. I am committed to delivering high-quality photos that exceed my clients' expectations and am always looking for ways to improve my skills and techniques.

ABOUT JORGE

As the Associate Creative Director, it is my responsibility to lead creative and production projects from concept to completion, including video creation and photography duties. I have gained valuable experience through my travels and have worked remotely in the past, which has allowed me to broaden my perspective and adapt to different environments. My fluency in multiple languages has also been an asset in my career, allowing me to communicate effectively with clients and team members from diverse backgrounds. I am skilled at developing and transforming concepts into creative projects and enjoy managing my team to ensure that client objectives are achieved. I am skilled at motivating and directing my team to produce top-quality assets across various platforms, including video and photography. I take pride in my role as a creative powerhouse and am dedicated to driving the success of my team and my clients through my expertise in video creation and photography.

ABOUT LORENZO

As a Social Media Manager, I am the brains behind the company's online presence and the voice of their brand on social media. It's my job to keep track of all the cool and unique things customers are saying (okay, and the not-so-cool things too). When I'm not busy analyzing engagement data and planning digital campaigns, you can find me scouring the internet for memes to share with our followers or trying to convince the team to let me start a "pet of the week" feature on Instagram. In my previous roles, I've gained valuable experience doing social media management in the food industry and have had the chance to work and travel internationally, which has given me a unique perspective and a good sense of humor (or at least that's what I like to tell myself).
